Shemia “Mimi” Moore, a devoted wife and mother of three children, has dedicated her life to community service and advocacy. A native of Richmond County, NC, Shemia and her husband, Lawrence, decided to make Greensboro, NC their home more than 20 years ago. With a passion for children and serving her community, Shemia has made it her mission to provide a haven for many kids that have crossed her path along the way. A true leader by nature. It has certainly paid off in her field of Supply Chain Management and Logistics. Currently employed at EPES Logistics Services Inc as a Logistics Supervisor. With expertise and passion for transportation and logistics, Shemia and her husband have started Moving Moore Logistics.
As a proud mom of former student athletes, Shemia was actively involved in her children’s sports careers and academics. Which resulted in her taking a pause in furthering her education after receiving her associate’s degree in paralegal studies from Guilford Technical Community College.
Her faith and devotion to others have compelled her to serve and provide a sense of community with those around her and beyond. Shemia is an active member of the Powerful Women Making Power Moves Mentorship group, she volunteers and contributes each year to the Annual Back to School bookbag drive hosted in Rockingham, NC, and is a proud member of White Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church of Greensboro, NC.
