Robert “Wes” Lewis began his professional sports career in 2016, managing and coordinating community relations for DJ Reader, currently a defensive tackle for the Detroit Lions. Wes also serves as DJ Reader’s business manager, overseeing key aspects of his professional endeavors. In Houston, Wes led DJ Reader’s 2019 Walter Payton Man of the Year campaign, partnered with the National Kidney Foundation, and directed community outreach for the Ricky Davis Foundation.
A North Carolina native, Wes earned a B.S. in Sports Science with a Business Management minor from North Carolina A&T State University, where he was a student-athlete, and an M.S. in Sports Administration from High Point University. With over a decade of experience as an educator and athletic director, he now serves as a liaison for Greensboro’s Affordable Housing initiatives and local non-profit organizations.
Wes is a member of several professional organizations, including the North Carolina Coaches Association, NCAT Alumni Association, and the North American Society for Sports Management.
